10. Here-and-now solutions for the climate emergency
Many solutions needed for significant impact, the transformative ones, such as electric airplanes and cars, wind, hydro and solar power, the introduction of low-impact agriculture and forestry practices - they all take time and money.
Even if we had the money, and if there was a sudden global consensus to start this massive transformation of technology and infrastructure - we simply don’t have the time.
We need to act now.
So should we stop eating meat, stop getting into airplanes, stop using fossil fuel sources? Yes, that would cut emissions. Is it realistic? No.
