The number of people facing humanitarian crises is rising, and the international humanitarian system cannot keep up. We need better approaches and solutions, and act before a disaster strikes to limit the worst consequences: for every euro invested in prevention, it will save up to 7 euros in response and recovery efforts. And most importantly, it will save lives.
In this session you will get to know the landscape approach in humanitarian settings, as a systemic and transformative approach to increase community resilience. In this approach, the development of sustainable business cases goes hand in hand with the restoration of ecosystems and stronger communities, engaging all value-chain stakeholders – including yourself! By applying your experience to a real-life case in Haiti, you will get a taste of this emerging approach and help us impact a unique landscape with your knowledge and experience.
