How can we have a tri-sector effort between private, government and social /start-ups sector(citizens) to make cities inclusive and housing resilient (climate change & disasters). We know from Hurricane and other natural disasters that low income households are most affected.
In India alone 15 cities of 1 million will be added in next 10 years. Do we have insights and experiences to share so that lower income households remain integral to the city, not relocated and have incentive to invest in safe and sustainable housing.
I am a social entrepreneur from India and co-founded mHS City Lab in 2009. I enjoy problem solving in multi-stakeholders projects to create and incubate social innovations. I am currently living in Italy, and adjunct faculty at Franklin University Switzerland and IE Madrid on Social Entrepreneurship

Dr Shmelev is focusing on macroeconomic sustainability, sustainable cities, circular economy, environmentally extended input-output modelling, multicriteria decision aid, environmental policy issues and renewable energy.
